Simple and perfect

Good idea, but certainly not simple nor perfect.

The font itself isn't bad, but the characters with different sizes complicate the whole thing and disrupt the reading. The G looks weird too, I'd modify it slightly.

Also, to be more graphically consistent, the symbol should be as thick as the font.

Keep working on it, you're on the right track.

EDIT: I red thumbed colors by mistake. They work.

There's a great logo bursting to come out here.
You'll probably have to do a few hours of sketching, but this one looks fun to work on, so it shouldn't be too hard ;)

Check out Le Tour De France logo, the type is a bit odd, but it perfectly blends in a cyclist.
