Brief from client
You will be designing an upcoming identity
for the Big Day Out festival. The organisers
have asked for something different this
year and are interested in breaking some
of the rules that have been established by
previous designs.
They will need the logo in a number of
formats (vertical and horizontal) and will
also need to see how the design applies to
CD and DVD covers, an iPhone application
and t-shirts.

This isn't really a logo, it's more like a full design for advertising. I will say this, however...half of the text is unreadable. Your random usage of rotation and curving is a poor treatment for text. The sunshine symbol is very generic, yet entirely too busy.
