I like the retro look! Shapes and colors work well, only suggestion the "small print" is a little hard to read, not sure if it works for your business but I think it be sweet to see a retro rocket flying off the the swoosh (see quick mock up)

I think it def. looks retro. But it is also pretty busy. It is already difficult to read at this size.

"cool merchandise" breaks up the flow of the name. I had to read it a couple of times because my eye was bouncing all around the design. I would move "cool merchandise" out of the logo- if it is absolutely needed - put it below (I don't think it's needed.. it is implied with the "cool" logo..). Then you may have room for the rest of it. You may have to get rid of the yellow swoosh too- actually you should. There won't be any need for it once you remove the tag.

I think the colors could be more "retro" also.
