As a 'stand alone' logo it doesn't have a chance of working (it will fall apart at small size) but in a visual with additional graphic elements it looks very good.

I love the logo with the graphics looks very cool. I've done a lot of blues and jazz logos and I'm liking what I see. Logo will only work with graphics tho I believe.

it looks great on the poster, i personally like the logo, however if it won't be put on any ad or poster and just the logo itself, i'd say lose that secondary backdrop color behind blues. just my thought, other than that. i think you did a good job.
