This is the best work I've seen from you Felix. From idea to execution, this is outstanding.

Question is, does it work in 1 colour? ;) Doesn't matter if it doesn't, i'm just curious...

Thank you,Cesar! I forgot to mentioned to all of you that it is one color of red with four different shades of it. Originally I finished this one in gray scale, but my daughter insisted on a red, as she instantly loved my idea. Have you checked new 2020 Olympic logo in " News & Inspiration" section from stock logo? I'm shocked by what I saw in there.For a country with a great tradition in graphic design - it is a nightmare what they come up with.

Just saw the 2020 Tokyo article and the writer seemed annoyed to say the least. He/she's justified too. It's pretty bad. I'd imagine that it was a committee of suits that selected the final design and probably felt very edgy and smug with their decision. It makes the London 2012 logo seem like a world apart in innovation and style in comparison...

Jon if would, please, see an article on Chris Creamer's sports logos web page - there is more details on that. The interesting fact is that a person with original idea is not even a designer nor an artist. To my amusement a red circle on emblem doesn't stands for Japan at all - it should represent a beating heart? And Paralympic logo nothing but a Roman numeral II. On a main symbol I see T r L , but dark grey and light grey puzzled me about a choice of colors for a global event, such as Olympic Games which means a joy and festival of nations. By the way, 2016 Rio Games logo looks very much as a condom to me. 1980 Moscow summer games logo and their mascot " Misha " are the best Olympic symbols of all time.

Thanks Felix, I'm sure i'll spend a long time looking at the website. Even after looking at the article on there, I'm not at all convinced, and the explanations are stretching the meaning of the elements too much. It's pretty ridiculous. I like the Moscow 1980 logo and mascot very much. I also like the Montreal 76 and Athens 04 logos. Not sure what my favourite is but Moscow is in my top 3...

Not sure what to say here, how could I not like it, I did basically the same design 12 years ago. Funny how that works sometimes. Heck it's a simple idea, no doubt someone might have done something similar before I did. Something I've mentioned before, if you get around to working on designs for clients you really need to get away from presenting your ideas on colored backgrounds. Sure it looks nice but it doesn't accurately portray how the logo would be used in the real world.

And Felix/bubla/camopap/whatever-the-first-one-was, take note I'm not taking the screaming plagiarism train here, I doubt you could have seen something I did 12 years ago, something to think about next time you feel like going postal over some perceived injustice you might find here.

Thank you, Fred! Wow, it is strange how some thoughts come to play at times. No, I haven't see your work that you show here nor anything similar. I see that on your design a source of light coming from the left versus mine and yours are more on an angle and there is an answer that it can and will work on a white background for sure. Well, this is the situation when two different people come up with a very similar idea. Thanks for posting - I really appreciate that.

It is Waffles! Ever since I came to U.S.A. - everywhere that I went and people heard my first name - first thing they say to me was " Felix the Cat, wonderful, wonderful Cat ". Thank you for thumbs! Another Felix the Cat was in net for Maple Leafs, as you already know.
