I really like this version but worry that the text is not legible enough for the average person reading it.

Yes, it's unreadable.

I see what you tried to do, and the intention is good, but I don't read Hive but more something lole "llive" or "llille".

Yes I am VERY new to this, I started more in Photography and have been slowly making the switch to Illustrator and other facets. All the feedback is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks as the day has gone on the more I think about what you have said it makes more and more sense. In a sense I have been scared to actually get into because it can seem overwhelming, but in the end I guess you just have to dive in.

I am also new to graphic and I can say I can't read this. Hive is nice brand name but I see shapes that resemble doors and windows.
