Brief from client
Quite straight forward, He's asked for a butler logo, he did try to point me in direction of just stealing someone else's working, but me being me, I thought I would do something original.
For those who are interested, here's the strangest feedback I've ever had from a client...
I took it down for now, but will add this back later, depending on if anyone see's what the client saw..

I hate this. There's no use of the golden ratio anywhere to be found. Also, Mr. Peanut.
I kid, of course. Love the icon... you're a master of the woodcut look. Waiting to see what typography you have in store.

He said, It looked like a "penis" and for that reason, he could not use it all.... I was asking for feedback to progress the design, he said we should go our separate ways. Jeez..
If this is what he saw, then I think that's a sexy "penis"!
I would have recommended he visit his doctor. He's got something wrong down there.

I'm in love with the texture and the overprint effect. I must say it does remind me a lot of the Planter's Mr. Peanut but it's still a killer logo. And yeah, that guy should get his crank looked at.

Ah, very nice. I'd be happy to supply a group of moustaches that I put together, there was all variety's from the very curly to the very short.
Other than that, its a very different logo. And since the company will not be a producer of potato chips, then there is absolutely no issue or breach.
If this was just posted in humour, then I mean no rudeness, and very interesting similarities. But I have to say my designs are focused towards be direct with the user, the Pringle's charters focus is to look appealing and current.
I always take a 50% downpayment, this is to cover my work if for any reason the client is unable to let me finish the job.
In this instance, my client threatened me. He told me, I had to send over the files as they were, or I had to give him a refund.
Since he had not paid in full, I did not have to send him the files, and obviously I'm not giving someone a refund.
"Welcome to my restaurant, here the food I lovingly prepared that you paid for, oh you didn't like it, you say it tastes like McDonald penis, Well heres your money back, im sorry for to have wasted you busy busy time."
Some people think they can complain and and the designer will bend over backwards to make them happy. Not me.

This is what happend. -
My client sent me this image and said "To be honest, and not sugar coat, the logo itself was referenced to the male anatomy (see attached) . "
This was after spending a few weeks on not being able to explain why he couldn't give any feedback.
Amazing.
He should have been at the meeting when this was approved.
