Try simplify it as much as possible. Then simplify it some more.

Perhaps play around with your own handwriting to come up with a better "font" (the current I must say is of poor quality, is it a free font?)

Do some further research and check out how successful brands with "media" in the name communicates what they do. In current times, I wouldn't immediately connect a script type to modern media. In no way do script fonts make me think of the web, social media or even TV...

When it comes to the symbols, do you need 4 of them? What do each of them represent? Do 4 symbols communicate better than 1?

If trying a fat/bold font, perhaps you could try to replace a letter with the best suitable symbol to quickly represent "media"? I'd personally go with a solid color for the symbol/symbols, to simplify the logo and make it readable in smaller size...

That´s my immediate, on-the-go thoughts. Best of luck with your further development ;)

Yeah, I like Version 7 much much more than this one! This one is so thin and weak looking to me, whereas the 7th version was bold, had great colors and I loved the font. The shapes above the name are so thin - I feel like they'd nearly disappear if it were reduced and printed!

I'm still good on version 8. It has so much more of a Caribbean feel to it than any previous version. IMO anyway. I do agree you may consider beefing up the font here, but keep the same family. This logo still resonates with me compared to any of the rest.
