Central PA Careers

Brief from client
Job board website for Central PA.
The client wished to have 2 colors, Navy Blue and Gold.
I was to create a logo involving a briefcase with modern type.
Also was to incorporate the phrase "Jobs. Internships. Careers."
Sometimes clients are wrong. You did what they asked for, but it doesn't really work. It is just the shape of the state with a piece of clip art put into it. I do like the keystone on the latch, but that's about as far as it goes. I would be interested in seeing what other ideas you sketched out.
Dude, please don't post the exact same comment on every post just to have people comment on your own. That's kind of a dick-ish move. It just goes to show you don't give a rat's ass about other people's work.
I like the typography, but not the symbol. I agree that you should not try to stay so rigidly to the client's instruction. As a designer, it is your job to interpret their instruction into something that actually works...lol
One thought I have is you could combo the state and the briefcase...that is, a PA-shaped briefcase. That would simplify things a bit, and make your logo mark more unique. Just my .02

I did not use clipart, thats for your input however.
sorry.
The symbol I see very weak, I think a lot of noise generates the right.
As I see the font kerning closing it could improve a bit.
The colors I like.
Sorry for my english.
It's too generic, play with it a bit, have fun, make it personal.
very good job! typography and style were very cool. Just need a little better in the symbol.
