Brief from client
logo for restaurant with italian and european cuisine.
Glad your back! Awesome job here! i have a slight concern that the mosaic is a little too much though.. Have you tried the symbol with some nice text that doesn't have a mosaic box behind it?
Thanx! In this case, the mosaic was proposed as a concept. It can be simplify, is also possible completely remove. I just like this concept. There were other options.
I can see a hidden swastika in it. I agree with M@, mosaic might be a bit much. You have a lot of small details going on which will end up not being noticeable.
Yeah, despite what others said I think there needs to be a change in contrast here. Namely "De Marko" and "Italian Restaurant." I can't help but notice how the white space between each square in the mosaic creates a transparency effect; it lightens everything up a notch. Meaning all the lighter colors end up being even lighter. The dark blue works fine, however. I think some of those shapes should go solid to help counteract this.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I appreciate the mosaic pattern, and it's nicely executed and achieves a strong look. But the visibility suffers a bit when you take these things into consideration.
Thanks for the detailed comment. Yes I agree with you, and if the customer chose this direction, that is, that refine and rework. In this version I was interested in the concept of the mosaic.

))) Yes, it seems. If the customer chose the direction with the mosaic, then, of course, I would have developed a different pattern.

That's my take on it, anyway.
