Logo for professional graphic designer online portfolio
DG4 Design is the name of my web portfolio. D and G are my initials and I'm a IV. I thought it sounded cool and felt the letters and the Roman numerals for the 4 lent themselves to some fun designs.
The look and feel of the logo are inspired by a mix of 80's made-for-TV sci-fi and album artwork from the band, Cavalera Conspiracy.
I wanted simple colors and shapes that were arranged in a design that appears complex, almost like alien writing in the original V Miniseries.

I thinks it's a pretty cool idea.. I thought it was 'DGN' at first before reading below.. I feel that if you want to stick with the 'iv' then you will need to separate them just to make it easier to read..
Overall it's a good first attempt, Looks clean and going off the brief it seems like you got what you wanted and because it's a personal logo I can't really comment on if it relates to you or not.. I will however say that to me it looks like a custom car shop logo and although you wanted the '80s' feel it does look outdated because of that..
Goodluck, maybe worth another shot.. Keep at it!

I like the idea you have behind the initials but this is really difficult to read. I think your concept can definitely work but I don't think this version does you justice.
Sorry I'm not feeling this one. It's not readable, the color combination is a bit dark and not really appealing. Try to have your logo on a white background as much as possible.
