Dirty Candy illustrations

Brief from client
Create a new logo for a fictional illustration company
please note the colours aren't as bright as it is on screen, it is toned down a bit.
I don't know, I kind of like it for a start. It could work for an alternative/grungey/punky/90s-loving illustration company. It really only works with a certain demographic, so if you were going for universal appeal... maybe try again.
I think your main problem is there is no real focal point. All three words are the same size, same font, same intensity of color. It's all too much. What if you left "Dirty Candy" the way it is, and used a smaller, sans serif font for "illustrated" underneath in black?
I think the bright color issue could be that you uploaded an RGB file instead of CMYK. (Or the other way around, I never remember)

I am struggling a bit. i need help!
can you describe details about what does the logo stand for. Im a bit blurred about what is your aim to achieve from this logo design?
anyway, i'll recommend you start all over...
how about start over... or asked for help or idea from others fellow designer...
Before giving you a feedback, I have one (stupid) question: is this hand lettering or is it just a font type?
