Keep some nice line spacing in "DUKE & DAUGHTERS".

The symbol doesn't belong to the wordmark. They simply don't match.

Duke & Daughters are way to close together.

The positioning is very awkward & the font does not make me feel fine dining, it makes me feel like frat house burgers.

Your symbol is just not working, you can barley read fine dining and when your logo is printed at 1 inch you wont be able to read it.

I would honestly start over and do some research on other fine dining logos

I agree the word mark is too dominant an just doesn't seem to work with the logo mark. Sketch up some other designs and work on the actual symbol and this will be much better.

This is no way to make a logo for a chef or a restaurant.
Do your homework, do some research and come up with a better idea.
