Brief from client 

For a vinyl record store in Springfield, IL catering more towards a punk and alternative crowd while also carrying a lot of older used records.

I like the logo. But the name is rather bold :) Your "spin effect" linework on the vinyl isn't lined properly on the top side. Aside from those aspects good work.

I like this but I'm wondering what the green under the record is supposed to be? Is it dripping green slime? I'm trying to understand the association between the word "dumb" and the slime and I don't get it. Am I just too dumb?

Also, if the name if the store isn't set in stone yet, I'd suggest rethinking it. Aside from "stupid", dumb also means silent and unable to speak, something punkers ain't exactly known for.

But overall I like the look. Nice clear lines, though the alternating green and white lettering makes it a bit harder to read. As Racealistic pointed out, tweak the alignment of those top grooves and it'll look better.

Haha noooo not cow utters, that is supposed to be slime! I was trying to improve upon this older logo the store was using. They aiming more towards a 90's cartoon Nickelodeon type vibe with the slime and the term "Dumb." I will have to go back and change the alignment those groves on the record, thanks for all of the suggestions!

Does the alternating color bother anyone else? I would use white for one word and green for another. Seems a bit odd to use one color for every other letter, even considering the style you're trying to achieve.

Other than that and the obvious slime change, it looks good. Looks punk-ish to me.
