Aside from the obvious dumbbells, it also resembles a cross between an Avant Garde building and a chinese symbol. I think it's because the top of support bar is asymmetric.
Check the alignment of the inner and outer circles, seems to be off a bit on the top. Im also not crazy about the font, look for one where the S is not as closed.
This is for dunnebells.com - right now just font is the logo, no icon. I am wondering how you would make the logo look a bit more "custom" and refined? Thanks!
I'm gonna guess here and say you were trying to match the ends of your dumbbells to the lettering in the font??? Which is normally clever! But here I think you need to change the horizontal center bar. Either flatten it off or round it (whichever is more dumbbell-ish) so it looks less like a Chinese brush stroke symbol! I personally don't have a problem with your font choice. =)

Thank you. I like the font also. Any ideas on how to make the icon a bit more "custom" ? Thanks!
Much better than the original version and its super blocky dumbells.
This is way more refined and though through. I also like that Chinese symbol aspect.
I would get rid of that grey circle and these godawful strokes.
Generally, I'm not a fan of the grey color scheme. Too dull.
