the kerning doesn't look right, not sure i like it overall though, it looks like a button not a logo, sry i don't mean to be harsh :S

This logo is 100% better than what they have already, yet could be improived 100% still...

I think that you should firstly repost this without all of the effects and colours. They are superfluous to the critique and arguably to the logo in general.

Secondly, it bothers me that the roof isn't centered, but maybe this is just a personal thing and universally, others on this forum may disagree.

Thirdly, the super tight kerning is going to cause you problems when reducing the logo sizewise.

Fourth, I've just completed a job for a company who's colours are purple and green and it was extremely annoying.. again this may just be personal and other may disagree.

The idea is OK for me. But yeah, it looks like a html or flash button...
You should have work on the colors and forget the blue background. Blue and green radients -> ugh! And maybe forget the shadow effect
I didn't rate the symbol yet, because for me the idea is great, but the whole symbol need to cleaned.
