Brief from client
A creative apparel company (men's and women's) tees, hoodies, and other screen-printed items. The company will team up with certain charities that will inspire the designs in some way. A percentage of each profit made by an item purchase will go to that charity. Charities include those relative to wildlife/animal support, medical research, education, environmental support, humanitarianism, and more. (Basically, any good cause they can team up with)

I don't understand the symbol. Is it an exclamation mark? I think it's confusing. Otherwise it's a strong mark.
Yes, it is an exclamation mark to signify the intensity of the word "eager". I think this will look good on a shirt tag. Here is another idea I had (minimalist wording) Any suggestions?
I think the problem is I'm trying to find meaning in the negative spaces made by the cropper exclamation mark within the square. ppl works, but eager doesn't yet translates to egr. :)
I think the logo should speak more to the charity of the business.
