Its a little... Déjà vu. But iven so, I like the symbol, but in my opinion you have to work a little on the fonts.

There's nothing interesting or memorable about that.

Give up on the drop shadows, glass effects, odd borders and that comically cursive typeface.

Yes take everything off. then build it back and stop as soon as it's recognizable. You don't need the outlines, drop shadows etc. It's a logo not an advertisement. When you advertise you can do all that. But the less detail in a logo the better usually. Some times it can be pulled off, but a logo should be as simple as possible.
