Brief from client
Client is a culinary school start up aimed at the amateur and improving cook. The courses will be well organised, teaching proper technique but with participants having lots of fun.
I dig it... You have made a stove top, right? Nice idea! Now you need to continue to work on it to make it look memorable and unique. At this point I'm concerned how " EXETER " is out of a placement in your composition. Also, check an alignment between C and H on " COOKERY " and " SCHOOL " K and L are much better in that regard. I think that with a better font choice and TLC it will be a cool looking work at the end. Good luck!
All the letters need to fit almost like tiles for this to work properly. Try setting this up with a grid behind it so that everything can stay aligned.
Appreciate the feedback here guys. Although I don't necessarily agree about the font, which is suppose is subjective, I agree with the comments about alignment and spacing. My concern with lining everything up grid wise was that it might be a bit of a type crime concerning letter spacing? I'll give it a try and see what happens.
Thank you, Munki. I want to mention is that if you're planning to keep your text in black - then you must use some vibrant colors for stove's outlets to make it more attractive.
Well, the kerning has to be fixed indeed. Now, when it comes to have all the characters perfectly aligned, well, experiment and see how it goes. But to be frank, I'm not really bothered that the C of "cooking" isn't aligned with the characters directly above and below.

Exactly - so, they look like waffle pattern.

Thanks Camo. The idea was for me to keep it one colour until I get the overall look right.
I'm liking this, the overall simplicity. Don't feel forced to add any colors, it's mighty fine like this.
Good job, mate.
@shawali Thanks for that! :) What's your take on the kerning/letter-spacing as commented previously?

Munki, please make sure when you'll work on stove elements that they will not end up looking as Norelco shaver , okay ?
Good job. I saw plates, I did not think of a stove.
Either way it is a good idea.
