Eggie, a logo for an omelette vendor

Brief from client
A logo that shows exactly what the vendor sells; fried eggs.
well, i like it, it looks awesome and the font fits, organic , fluent, friendly, fast....but goddamn it .....that's not an omlette and i would like to give a thumb down for the symbol, because of the obvious fact that it transmits something else, but i like the egg....baaamm...
Could you elaborate on your thoughts about the design you reviewed? You mentioned that while you like the overall look and feel of it, including the font which you described as organic, fluent, friendly, and fast, you have concerns about the symbol used. Specifically, you feel it doesn't convey the idea of an omelet and would give it a thumbs down for that reason. However, you do like the egg element in the design. Could you explain what changes you would suggest to improve it? https://todayeggrates.net
Thank you very much. An I appreciate Hueroth comment on the fact that that's not omelette. Well, I'm sure there's a diffrence between just a broken egg to be fried and omelette. Hahahaaa. Lesson humbly learnt. Watch out for more logos from me.
One thing to note: yellow over white has very little contrast. Have you thought of maybe increasing the saturation of the yolk a bit in order to improve it?
I also notice that the dot on the "i" is yellow. I like that detail. However, as I mentioned above, the lack of contrast between the white and the yellow makes that detail almost imperceptible.
Really nice job here but i do agree with the other comments about the symbol. This might sound a bit cliche but i would try changing the shape of the egg so it looks more like a lower case "e" the yolk could represent the middle of the "e"

To be fair, an omelet probably wouldn't be as interesting or recognizable as a logo symbol.
One stupid question: is the shape of the fried egg supposed to represent something or is it random?
Hahahahaaa. Shawali, you're one of the many guys whose comments are very constructive. Well, the shape is random, brother.
Fair enough. The shape of the egg could be better, I guess.
Yeah, I'm not really feeling the randomly shaped fried egg as a symbol. Moreover, I think your logo would work just fine without any symbol at all.
That being said, how would it look like on a white background? It's the most common environment any logo usually find themselves into.
Globally, this look pretty good though, but you might consider my two observations above.
Keep it up!
Thank you. Points well noted.
This logo is pretty much spot on.

Here's a great, easy to use tool that could help in finding the right colors: http://leaverou.github.io/contrast-ratio/#%23F6D507-on-white

love it however the white of the egg could be reworked a little :)
