Brief from client
A company that makes some eletric reparations, etc..
Ask the client some more questions in regards ro what they do in the electrical businesss and incorporate the bulb with a symbol of that. Clean work though.
The yellow is very difficult to read. If you find something specific to your client as JAYMESGRAPHICS suggested, maybe you could work that into the bulb filament.
I get the light bulb is fairly simple, but I like that fact. Change up the color and make the bulb mean something.
You need to follow a creative process, which begins to asking the client a few questions (http://tinyurl.com/pextyk5), getting inspired (www.logopond.comwww.dribbble.comwww.pinterest.com), sketching and few dozen ideas, then sketching a few dozen more. When you wind up with something you like, you can go on the computer and put it into shape then, and only then.
I actually like this one and most likely I'll be a single one here to say that. To many it is a boring idea at first - so, what? You can make something out of this with some thinking to do... Read again what this company does and incorporate that into a symbol here. Plenty of work to do here. Good luck.

I agree, this is bland as hell.
