Brief from client
Logo for a piano-driven female fronted power pop band.
I haven't actually heard the band yet, but it's the full band project for a female piano player with a heavy left hand.
The gradient is a distracting element, I think. I would find another interesting way to capture your audience's attention. The reason why gradients are usually a bad idea in logo design is that they don't translate well for all forms of media. Screen printing is an example of this. Solid shapes are the way to go first, and then you can experiment with decorating it up later. And since your logo heavily hinges on the "light tunnel" look, you might want to consider other avenues of inspiration. I'm also not a fan of the A slanting off the page like that.

Good luck.
Are you trying to make those letters look like a gate or a door where the light is coming through?
I agree that you have to get rid of the gradient.
