Brief from client
The logo will be used for a location-based mobile app which pulls a list of all Manila (MNL) events near the user.
Will be great to know what you think about it! :)

I like this solution the best, but there are things that should be addressed.
1. Create a version without logos or drop shadows first. You can add them and other effects for branding purposes, but your most basic elements are the flat shapes themselves. This will ensure that your logo will always be able to be resized without loss of quality.
2. Your letters appear to be stretched a bit too much vertically. Plus, addressing this point will resolve your lack of breathing room within the circle.
3. I like the folding effect of your letters, but your L looks off. I would make the lower line extend all the way, and emulate a fold where the stem goes upwards. It just looks like the odd letter out, which could just be how the letter shapes are arranged. Also, to tie in with point #1 again, make sure you have a version where these letter segments are just cut out shapes, instead of relying on gradients and shadowing effects to separate them. Trust me, it just becomes blurred together when it's smaller. You can even notice this in the thumbnail on the right.
I think it's the best effort out of the three. Version 1 just has too many colors, and version 3 relies on superfluous shapes behind the text. This one feels just right. Good luck on your future development.
Appreciate your inputs! :) I did edit a bit but also got to updating version 3. Thanks again!!
