If the icon was supposed to resemble an X and a heartbeat at the same time, I think you need to give it sharp pointy ends.
And you need to loose the shadow.

Overall its a clean mock up, well done.
Im not sure how it portrays well to a video game shop. but overall i like the feel and the motion in the logo. But i think it needs to have some tweaking to be more of video game shop? maybe...
