Brief from client
Simple, smart, interesting logo. The one that you can cut in steel or stamp burn on wood.
Hey Guys!
Thanks for comments about previous version of this logo.
Please tell me what do you think about this one?
I've changed approach a bit.
Thanks!
Chris

Show us the black and white version, please, without the background! :)
Sorry. I should have upload black and white at first.
..fixed
That symbol is now wagons of boatloads better! It is classy, gets the point across, makes sense, and makes you think. I'd say that symbol is near perfect. (I do notice that the top right is just slightly out of whack for 100% perspective perfection, but if that is fixed, I say this is perfect) I'll still thumbs it up for now, but fix that! :D
The typography is okay, but I am unsure if I like it. It feels plain in comparison.
Agreed, this is trainloads of wagons of boatloads better!
Yep!!! Fix that angle (top right) and you've got a winner!
As for font, it works and I do like it, but part of me wants it to not be a rounded font since your logo is very angular. But that is your discretion!
Double check your kerning with a fine toothed comb- here it looks to me like you have a bit of extra space around your letter U's.
Guys, I'm super positively surprised by your comments about this logo. I'm really happy that you like it. I've been thinking how to make this logo right at least one hour a day for last 2 weeks. Finally today I got somewhere. Thank you so much for kind reply and your thoughts.
I've fixed that right top corner, and made white spaces the same height. Also changed font, but I'm not sure about it.
that looks awesome
This font may be a little tall and thin?? Think something more like the one before (the rounded font) only not rounded. Look at something like Gotham. Nice, clean, geometric font. Excellent work on the logo symbol. =)
The symbol is dead on. Great job.
I'm not really feeling the font though, in both options. They don't really match the look and feel of the symbol.
Other than that, you got yourself a damn good logo to put in your portfolio.
It's nice
cool
I think your logo, original version on top of page, is very good. It really has great balance. The only small change I would make is to skew the icon slightly to make it look more like a table top. My eyes wanted to see a table top, but it was hurting to look at for too long. Changing the perspective a bit will fix that problem and help the symbol to work double duty. Great job!
