Illegible.
Distasteful.
Boring.
Poorly executed.

... and really not very good.

Use a proper typeface. Be bolder with colour. Don't put six words in a logo.

The colors here kind of scream "I'm excited to be 70 and living in Florida!!"...

As for the typography, I'd just start over. This is really hard to read, and other than the fact that you've flipped the word 'flip' I don't see why it has to be upside down. If you're going to keep on with having it upside down, then you HAVE To pick a different font. (Truth be told, I'd definitely just pick a new font anyway).

This is confusing, muddled, off balance, and I would never EVER go with a 'graphic design' company that had this as their logo.

I'd go back to the drawing board on this one- sorry!

70's was the look, the idea is to be able to flip the logo around either way, it tied in quite well with the rest of the concept. But if you are saying that it should be taken back to the drawing board then they should send the varsity back to school as it was an A project according to them and got me 5 job interviews at some of the best design companies.

Hahaha, whoaaaa there nelly! Simmer down, no need to be so defensive! It's rather silly to get upset with people critiquing your logo after you've uploaded it to a page that's meant for LOGO CRITIQUING! *facepalm*

I think it's a bad logo, and I'd still think that even if it got you twenty job interviews at 'the best design companies'. If you don't want people saying what they think of your work, you shouldn't put logos on the critique page, mmk!? I'd have given you a C+! :D
