Overall it looks well designed, but I can't help but feel like something is unfinished or incomplete because of the bottom corners of the rectangle missing.

I think the balance is off. It is like the floor dropped out, which isn't something I want to think of for a flooring company.

A more extensive brief would help here.

I for one really like the overall simplicity of this logo. I think you can get even further and remove the frame on top and only leave the bar below the wordmark. Also, have horizontally centred between the wordmark and the subtext.
