GG Design

Brief from client
I'm wanting to become an independent designer. I'm not proficient in logo design but I need one for myself. Please help me with idea's.
I came up with GG Design because of my unique spelling of my name with two g's, Meggan.
I would suggest sitting down n sketching out a few ideas!
You can also check out the web for some inspiration, maybe you can create some sort of logo off the GG since you want to incorporate that!
This as it is is not strong, i like the design in a more free flow creative font, but the gg and symbol is not working.
It's best to avoid using stock Illustrator brushes, they are available to everyone and don't show any uniqueness or talent. (Not saying you don't have talent... I just mean anybody could use that brush.)
My idea for this so to create somewhat of an abstract symbol out of the GG. Sketch a bunch on paper, using capital GGs, lower case ggs, script GGs, allll kinds of GGs. Connect them, separate them, flip them, turn them. Just make a ton. Take 3-5 that you are happy with and put them into Illustrator to perfect and refine them.
Underneath, find a modern yet classic font to write "GG Design" of just "design" depending on how legible your symbol ends up being.
Colors need to be addressed too, but try to design in just black for now.
What was said before about sketching is key. Even if you aren't the best at drawing you can still scribble out sticks and shapes. It's about building that 3rd eye picture. :)

Hope this helps!
I can't stress enough the need to start simply with black or at least just a single color. It will always come back to one color.
