Brief from client
Logo for a smoke shop, selling high quality glass accesories
The name of the smoke shop "Glasslab" in my opinion, requires a logo with a clean look, easy to implement in different graphic materials.
I've tried to do something intelligent and unique in the same time, that's why after a lot of documentation and sketches I've decided to try building a glass accessory from the double "SS" in the word "glaSS".

This logo could possibly work if tweaked a bit. Because as it is, you can read glass lab straight away but then have to go and look at it again to actually see if you were correct with what you were reading. This is a good start but should be more clearer to the audience. The worst thing is creating a logo and half of the people don't know what it says.
Agree with natman, you are on the right track and I encourage you to play along with the symbol, make it clearer and easier to read. Good luck.
You can do like this too.. i think you should make more clean
the weight or that logo doesn't work though. The "a" for lab throws your off the whole logo.
I think this logo is great. I did manage to read it right away and I find it a nicely executed idea.
Maybe the only concern might be that I thought this was for some laboratory, something connected to science. Of course it comes from the name too.
the client doesn't want something directly related to the smoke industry.
thanks
it took me maybe 2-3 secs to read and understand the name i think you can make the SS a little more visible and less obstructed.?
I agree with Monito. I'm not sure the matching serifs are needed on the glass beaker. But, the "SS" definitely needs to be brought out more for readability. Great overall idea, though.
