My only concern is the subtext type. Maybe it would work better smaller and in all caps.

This is a great idea. The symbol is really cool, but the way it actually looks doesn't do that great idea justice. I'd remove this fat strokes and maybe change the color, for something that looks more like tiles, for example.

The main font is a bit complicated and and kind of kills the symbol, where all the strength of your logo actually resides.
