logo lockup for a hedge trimming company
Client wanted a text display to resemble a hedge bush.
Yes, the idea is definitely working for me as well. I agree with botw on this one. Basically took the words right out of my mouth on removing the dots and moving the letters closer together.
The subtext will need to be revised, in that case, however. There's a noticeable weight difference already, and making the above text more hedge-like will only increase this difference. Try making them more uniform.

First I read " HL " in " HOTA " the way that square part is next to " H ". Pencil/paper time, my friend. Sketch more ideas.
I think the idea is cool to have letters form a hedge, but you need work on it more. Try larger leafs. Try removing the dots between the letters.

What if you had a solid bar of hedge anchoring the bottom of the logo and have the HOTA growing out of that? Making everything included in one hedge.
You could even see how the subtext would read being included in the solid hedge bar.
