I agree, loose the gradients, drop shadows etc. They do not add to the overall effect. Although I see where you are coming from with the whole lifeguard, bay watch style logo but it doesn't come across professional enough let alone memorable. I think you need a unique idea which will set this company apart from its competition or those within the same industry. As it is this is very forgetful.

Unlike most comments, I don't think you need to trash altogether: I don't mind the font and the "+" symbols in background.I would keep all font same. Recreation one colour, maybe a simpler script font, and bolder. You can try to change the gradient in "Houston Management" to a solid turquoise or a very slight gradient of that same colour.
