Brief from client
Logo that resembles something to do with a pen or ink. Possibly a feather pen but think simple.
I choose to use an ink bottle because of the symbolic nature, everything you write in ink comes solely from the source. I wasn't sure if it was better half full, or have it totally orange. It was a bit distracting and it connects to the ink. Who knows, Tear it a part!.

If you remove the ink bottle from your design it would look even simpler. It looks like an engagement ring half gold, half steel.
But if you still want to use a graphic element I suggest an ink blotter, specifically. the top of it (the handler). It would take less space than the ink bottle and would look more original.
I like the shape of this one; simple and to the point (or to the ink)
I had no idea what the hell that was- and it still doesn't make a lot of sense after reading the description.
I would keep everything but the symbol and dot the "i" with the most subtle of drops. Not a SPLAT of ink. But a dot that takes a second to notice that it isn't perfectly round.
DESIGN looks a bit small- try it the same length as INK.

yes for the ink design. NO for the symbol,.rework the symbol.
Still looks like a ring (an ugly one at it). Typography is ok but badly executed, you have to adjust letter spacing and kerning properly.
