Brief from client
We offer business writing training to corporate groups and individuals, available online and onsite. We also offer executive business writing coaching.
My client audience is mid to high-level business people working in professions that require skilled business writing. These are typically people with analytical positions (business analysts, consultants, managers, directors) or sales or PR.

My first thought is i like it.
It caught my eye and stood out.
one idea is maybe have solution spaced out under the top?
I think the typography should be worked on, there are 3 levels of type (big and bold, smaller and smaller on the tagline) I think this can be reduced.
I think the main problem comes from the composition (which affirms my belief that there should be a fifth criteria to thumb green or red=)
I'm not a fan of the fonts. I know you wanted to have something very academic, but here it's just too plain. And I don't find that the two main fonts really compliment each other.
Toss the word "profit." It's not something you want on a slogan. I like the serif fonts. Maybe you should just forget about the slogan and you'll have an excellent logo.
I like it but the slogan is a bit too small. Can you reduce the tracking on it and make it a drop larger?
