Brief from client
Simple and universal
Logo for a new clothing company. Supposed to be simple and universal.
I'm with Shawali on this one, this needs a lot of work... or maybe just an entire overhaul. The photoshop texture/effects are just not doing anything positive here, the subtext is impossibly small, the font isn't a good choice (another example of something from Dafont.com) and the fuzzy blue stroke around everything isn't your friend either.
I'd maybe start fresh with a new idea- but this time leave out photoshop altogether and up the size of your subtext!!
I actually didn't make one bit of this logo in photoshop. It was made entirely in illustrator. As for the small sub text, the client wanted it to be that ridiculously small. I originally had it a lot larger. But thank you both for the feedback! I'm thinking i'll start fresh as I am not a fan of this version either! Thanks again!

Unfortunately, photoshop effects don't make a logo.
Try again without any of these drop shadow (a big no no) these strokes, the outter glow and the noise effect.
Also, the subtext is way too small and the kerning is off, especially with R and the I.

Too many effect works, it breaks the emotional link you must have with your clothes. A more instinctive and intuitive logo should be better.
