Brief from client
Title/logo for infographic and essay exploring ivory in history and cultural uses.
Old styley caligraphy type. Looking for opinions / critique for improving this - I feel it's a little flat so far.
Nice stuff Shanuea, but I saw it as Wory to begin with.
I don't think it's too flat at all. There are a few tweaks that I would do,but the main one would be to make the top right and bottom left areas look a bit more symmetrical.
Top right looks way smoother than bottom left and the IV still looks a bit like a W. It's difficult to know what will detach the I from the V, but maybe more of a V shape at the bottom of the V, as opposed to a U shape which it currently is. A bit like the bottom of the O or Y even.
Then maybe enlarge the I from it's center, so it pokes out a bit at the top and bottom.

What was the base font or is the bespoke?
I'm sure Joe can help a lot wit this one.
Thanks - good points. Changed top right corner like you suggested

Where's Joe when you need him?

Thanks, made those changes - still a bit looks like w but I think it's better.
