Jam with a Band

Thank you all for feedback and suggestions, much appreciated.
I removed the shadow as suggested, made the guitar cable thinner and fixed the blotch within "B". Perhaps I should have "Band" in line with the guitarist's foot?
I'd like to scale / skew the text block now, as 2423media suggested. I can only think of compressing the text closer together to give it more of a guitar amplifier feel, any other ideas?

Thats the right idea making it more of a amplifier. Gotta put it more towards the background because thats typically where you'd find such a thing in a band. Do some research towards how a guitar is plugged into a amp to get a better understanding of the logo itself.
Optically, the "amp" appears to be leaning to the right. Maybe it's because the "J" by definition has a gap in it and the "M" is more solid. It seems like "JAM" is much heavier than "BAND".
In Illustrator there's an option under effects called "Distort & Transform > Free Distort. Just make sure all your characters to distort are in the same group.
