Brief from client
For own use.
Am planning to create a logo for branding myself as a designer trainee.
Basically wants the logo to look matured and modern, with the letter J or JO.
Hi, very thankful that you spend some time to comment.
The idea came out while i was tilting the letter "JO", but im still wondering if i can add any elements in this logo.
I have done an improvised version from your comment, would be nice if you give few more words too it. Appreciate the time, I'm seeking to improve as well.
If a goal here was " JO " - sorry, but I read " OJ ". Then a " J " in your symbol is different from a " J " in Josiah. There,also, I see " C 10 " being flipped vertical.I think there is a much simple way to establish " JO " without any guessing.

This also has potential.
Were you thinking of a mouse with this symbol? It can actually work as such.
Now you might want every elements to have the same width, for a solid composition.
Forget about the symbol spelling O and J, as it would simply read OJ. But the inspiration is there.
You have the same problem with the font as the other version. Nice font but too thin.
You definitely have a good eye for design. A bit more experience, trials and errors and you'll be set =)
EDIT: oops, didn't mean to red thumb the symbol.
