First off, the slanted orientation with the top part is distracting. No logicla placement or alignment, either.
The missing stem in your K conflicts with legibility. And if you're trying to achieve a symmetrical feel with the two angled lines, the 8 needs to be more centered.
The subtext doesn't feel like it belongs. It's a completely different typeface, and making it lowercase and all one word feels amateur-ish. "K8 Designs" would be a better solution. I would choose a more interesting typeface too.
Your best hope here is to rework the top symbol, rotate it back to align with your baseline, and refine the arrangement with your letters (and number). And don't use yellow on white, that hurts the eyes. I assume you're going with an edgy police tape look here, but the execution could be better.
I agree with Killswitch. Moreover, this is far from being "minimalistic". On the contrary, it's needlessly complicated for all the reasons Killswitch mentionned.
The choice of Gill Sans is not particularly bad, but it's just badly placed and managed. And avoid bright yellow on a white background. It's very annoying to look at.
I think I can see where you are going with this one...
It looks like an attempt at a 3d-type cube symbol with the right side aligned to the baseline of your text...right?
The problem is there isn't enough contrast between the two sides of the "cube" to pull it off. It could be a good idea, but needs some re-work.
Work in black and white first. That might help in the beginning stages, then add color after perfecting the black and white version.

Good luck.
