Lab Bug

Brief from client
Please work on it more and resubmit.....
Here is some changes i made in the previous version....
I'm absolutely in favor of no outline - great move! Now it makes a symbol more crispy and bolder. Loose that gradient in a flask, too. Dots on a bug needs more work, as far as the placement and I appreciate the fact that you made less of them versus a version 1.Perhaps, if you could manage to place each set ( you have six total ) on each half of a lady bug - that would be a final touch on this concept. Also, have you ever thought of renaming into a " BUGLAB " ?
The idea can work but the symbol feels way too forced. You need to simplify. The lady bug and the neck can't really exist together as the same time. Try to find a way to merge them so we can still see them both but in one shape.
Also, the dots are weirdly off axis. Set them straight.
I REALLY like this idea, I think you are in the right track, a bit more work and you're there.
The colors are good too.
The symbol feels a little weird to me, not sure exactly what it is... Maybe seeing the spout of the beaker coming out of the back of the lady bug feels more like a mutation than an integration.
Have you tried making maybe adding antennae to the beaker itself? Just an idea.
The typeface is cool but it feels weak to me. The concept you have is quite strong and the thin typeface feels weak against the mark. Try an either wider font or bolder one and see how that works.
cool idea, and no offense but it reminds me a little of a bong/shower head. have you tried getting rid of the bug's head, turning the "spout to vertical and adding attenae? or maybe making some mix of bugs head/spout? The flask neck coming out of the bug's back just isn't working.

I actually prefer the black stroke that you have removed here, I think it defined the shape. But I do like the dots better in this version!
I came here to comment that I liked the black outline and was sad to see it go!
I agree (but I just re-read my comment and I think it might have been confusing??) lol
Yes, bring back the stroke!
I understood it. :D
I was agreeing with you, but forgot to hit 'reply', so it looked disconnected!

Like that one, as stavengard said, more work on the dots,
I would add try to make them more "natural", "fluid" and less mathematical.
;O)
Edit : More "Organic" is the word I was searching
Many thanks all of you...... i will now work on the dots and soon resubmit the new version of the logo...
Have you had a thought of placing a few lady bugs on a flask or even create a silhouette of a flask from lady bugs?

Keep it up!

All in all, great job.
I agree that having the neck of the flask coming out of the bug's back doe not work.
