LC Saxophone

Brief from client
Saxophone maker
Use the L and C to shape a Saxophone's image in just one line
Amazing. This just looks great, however the "LC" being letters are lost in the symbol because the C is inverted. I don't necessarily have a issue with your typography but i would have gone with something else. But this works too. In any case great job nonetheless!
I don't think there's a problem with the LC being lost in the saxophone, it doesn't have to be literal initials and I'm not even sure if that was the intent. I just see a well drawn stylized saxophone, which serves the purpose.
And as for the typography being too thin, I don't consider that an issue either. In the mockup, you've shown the embossed letters recessed into the leather, with a slight shadow along the tops. Any other method of presenting this logo (website, business card, signage, etc) would not appear this way so there would be no shadowing to interfere with readability. Furthermore gold embossed letters on black leather would be very readable in real life, as the gold reflects the light very well and makes the letters pop from the background as the viewing angle changes.
The accent lines with the copy however, those are too thin. Thicken them up just a bit, maybe to the same thickness of the center horizontal stroke of the E in SAXOPHONE. Beyond that, this is perfect.
It would be a good idea for them to post the logo on a plain white background so then we can see exactly how thick the letters are to see if they are easy enough to read because at the moment it is hard to read, especially when you look at the thumbnail you can hardly see that theres any text there! Its probably just the mock up as you said thats causing the issue
text still gets lost, especially on the black background version, i think its needs to be a tiny bit thicker and also needs the space between each letter increased a touch

Looks Great! perhaps a slightly bolder font would help with legibility

Very good job, I love the mockup too. Classy.
Actually, if you read the description, that's exactly what the intent was. In which case, it might be a good idea to make the C more obvious.
But it's fine as is. I think it serves its purpose just fine.
Yeah, I saw that right after I posted.

Looks real nice.
I red thumbed the font because the kerning is pretty bad. And the font may be a bit too thin indeed.
Good job overall.
