Brief from client 

Pretty much to make a logo from "LD"

I think I much prefer this version. Or with the bolt showing through as yellow anyway.

I like this one better as well but I still have the same concern with the LD reading LZD. What if the vertical line on the inside of the D was 90 degrees vertical?

I like this version best, i do read it as LZD electrical though, i dont think the lighting bolt is working with the D. If you want to incorporate the bolt try changing the "I" in electrical to a bolt or have a bolt running behind your banner that could seperate the words england and kent or you could have a normal D but make the center of it a bolt instead. Im also not sure about the ESTD and 2009 being so far from each other, the eye need to travel a long way to find the date.

Overall though i really like the whole look of the logo, simple yet still recognisable as a Joe White job!
