Hmmm if you say this is your first logo ever I will go easy on you.
There is no real design idea behind this, I hope you can see this for yourself.
For a graphic mark you are using something that can be a) targeting reticle or b) print separation alignment mark. How does this correspond with the name?
You are using a gothic type, very rigid, cold and pretty out of place in this composition.
Color scheme would work if you did not try to enhance it with unnecessary (and badly executed) shadows and gradient in the symbol.

Before I can tell you how to improve this logo it would be best you give us some explanation about what this logo is about. Without that nothing much is possible.

i agree the shadows dont do this any good. plus Artificial is all smashed together and minds is all strung out. i sould def look into kerning and how it helps
