I have multiple palettes that I am exploring, but right now I am more concerned about the form of the logo.

I ideally don't want the 'Screens' hanging there - any ideas guys? :)
Again, I think you leave it out for your main iteration. You can have a version with it, in case you need it. But most of a the time, your logo will probably appear "in context", may it be on a catalogue, on a advert, website, etc...

What do you think of the perspective -should the screen face right like this version, or should it face left?

No!! Vertical text + orange on blue = unreadable!
Both are ok, but if you consider that the sense of reading goes from left to right, this version is the one to go.
i really find it har to have an opinion here, it seems bleak to me, but i cannot say why, the font looks to impersonal and the shape can be anything from a brick to a screen. I wont rate it and please consider that i fail to have a coherent opinion about it. Sorry.
Sorry, but I do not see a screen here. Eraser, shoe box, bubble gum pack comes in my mind before anything. Sumo tells me only one thing - Japanese wrestling event. I can picture a huge Japanese wrestler with his squared at 90 degrees angle legs and a fat belly hanging over a LCD screen... Or holding LCD under his arm... That could be an idea for a name " SUMO ".
