Logo design for Garden State Dispensary

Brief from client
Garden State Dispensary cultivator of medical cannabis. Cannabis leaf is not allowed in design. Style: masculine, mature, sophisticated
The plan is to develop logo that has a character of natural. Not too modern.
I wouldn't say this is masculine- but it's a lovely design.I like the layout and the typography. I might say that Jersey's finest could be brought down a bit to tighten it up- but at the same time I like the airy feel of the spacing, so too close might take that away. I think this is solid work.
However, you mention a "not to modern, natural" feel- to me this is pretty modern. Have you thought about a handrawn symbol in the center maybe to give it a more organic feel? If that is what you are really wanting to acheive, otherwise I think the logo as is works pretty well. =)
I have odd notions of what masculine and feminine actually mean, however I will say this doesn't actually feel organic and natural. This feels like more of a corporate design than a non-modern/natural design. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, however it isn't what you're trying to portray.
It is however, a very clear and to the point design, and it reflects the type of people looking to use your services.

I second most of what Joy said.
