Brief from client
Design a simple but effective colour logo incorporating the company name, where the first part "web" can be interchanged with the name of any of the sister companies: "brandpacket", "printpacket", "mediapacket","shelfpacket" & "imagepacket". The company is internet based and focussed on the web so something that says "technology" or "internet" would be preferred.

He is an example of how the base design was adaptable for the the sister companies...
I'm sorry, but it's very bad. No idea and way too much effects. Start over fresh!
Yikes. Way too much going on with the type. All logos should really be vectors. So I wouldn't get in the habit of creating in PhotoShop. Thats what appears to be going on here to me. This looks like its been run through some filters, it becomes gimmicky and therefore novice looking. Sorry--- that was pretty blunt, but it should help. Not just on this one. : )
It looks three dimensional, but not enough support for a logo, sorry.
This abomination of color gradients, reflections, extrusions, embosses and shadows makes my brain scream in despair.
Although this was very popular to play with when Photoshop 2.0 came out around 1990.
You just need a shiny silver/golden/glass 3D ball in this logo to be eligible for the shiniest amateur bull**** of the month logo award.
