Brief from client
Food
Halal
Meat
Red
Yellow/Gold
I used black-headed sheep (ram), which is common in east Africa in particular Somalia and the halal "symbol". I wanted to keep it simple and unique.
Typo is my weakest and I am aware of that.
Feedback and critique are more than welcome. Don't hold back be brutally honest.
Thanks.

For an absolute beginner, this is not too bad.
Be careful to have all your elements centered. "Halal food" (with the s) is off center.
Maybe the font is already like this, but it seems you've streched it. In that case, don't do that. Globally, this tyeface is too plain and lack character.
Not a fan of the red background. Try to always make your logos on a white background.
The sheep picto is too literal. You got to come up with something more stylish, that you made yourself, with character and a unique look that will make the logo stand out.
Good luck with your future studies and don't hesitate to post more logos!
Shiwali I appreciate your suggestions and feedback. They all make sense to me.
I could not do much with the sheep because that's how he wants it, an actual sheep.
The background again he chose that because thats the color of his shop (already in use) and he wanted the gold and white as well.
I would improve fonts and the image. Something like this:
Or like this if that would be some kind of a label on food products. Everywhere where there is a gradient there is a simple golden color.
