I think i simpler version of that could be if you just cut the lower part of the mail box and remove that little flag thing (i don't know how you call it) which only complicates things, on top of being barely visible on that black background and that it would totally disappear at small scale.
And yes I know it's part of the traditional american mail box but trust me, if the name of the business is actually "mail box", being suggestive with your symbol logo is more than fine. You don't need to have all the elements, a simple indication will suffice.
I'm not sure about this particular font, though. Try to find something less condensed or with lower x-height or both.
On a version 1 there was a royal blue popsicle. On this one there is a shovel inside the " O ". Your concept is lacking an idea to begin with. I will not have laughs or any sort of a sarcasm that you managed to post on one of my recent concept, as I'm better than you in that regard - but before you bark at someone's else work - fix your own duddles. There is a solution for this concept and it is looking at you, but it is up to you to find it.
Really mature, Félix...
That one last spiteful comment just got you banned. For the 4th time, if I can recall correctly. Don't bother sending me death threats or calling me in the middle of the night like you did before.
Don't come back with a new account. We will spot you eventually and ban you again.
Thank you. Really. Thank you.
You are a hero to all.
Thank you.
Na na na na...na na na na...he-ee-ey...goodbye!
Are pencil points transferable? Can we award Joy all his pencils?
Is there any reason why you're abandoning version 1.5? I think you were on the right track. This version I'm not so crazy about because the details would undoubtedly get lost when reduced, as Charlie pointed out.
No, I prefer that one as well. With the adjustments you guys mentioned I think it would work- but my client is not as sold on it. =(
I think they feel it is "too simple" because there are no fancy gradients and outlines and dropshadows and...... ugh! I don't tend to design that way and it is throwing me for a loop! Any advice on how to deal with that I'd be all ears!
----especially without any rudeness or name calling, I might add a-hem ;)
is it only my monitor or the very thin white line is there in the right side of the mailbox.
Wow, i see the things are pretty hot in here.....don't know if i should tell or not, but i cannot take out of my mind the damn shovel. This may be because i am not american and we dont have this kind of mailboxes around here, they are not so personal.
Now, talking about personality- It lacks in this version too, I respect my colleagues opinions and also your direction, also I admit that the logo is pretty much functional, but it can be helluvalot better than this. More personality, sens, identity for the logo, that's all, and my suggestions stand the same as in the first version of this.
Also- this little red flag- it has any sense there, just something to hang on?
One of the rules is "you dont say maibox and draw a mailbox", you have either one, or the other. C'mon guys is logo design 101.....wait to see something revolutionary here and also I hope you ll lose some heat on the way...
Well my logo may not be very interesting ....but this thread sure is! ha! Thanks for the honest feedback. I will keep at it!
indeed you re right, still the logo is your merit, while the direction of the thread is not. And seeing the lack of immaturity from both sides doesnt add to this "interesting" a positive or constructive value.
