Brief from client
For my own practice again. This time I'm making a brand for a Business to Business company. Masonmark manufactures pre-made masonry items (bricks, fireplaces, pavement) that they sell to contractors.

I don't believe there is enough contrast here. Perhaps if you warmed up the dark brown a bit and lightened the tan to more of a cream that would help. I am not a big fan of the type. It reminds me of the early days of computer supplied fonts. What font is it?
Im on the fence so I'm going to ask some questions for you to think about- Does the symbol relate to the company? Could the shape of the symbol be related more to what the company does? It sort of looks like a poorly formed M, could you clean that up at all? Just some things to ask yourself.
Having a symbol for the sake of having a symbol is meh- having a symbol that relates to the business in a simple form is what makes a design clever.
The symbol is two M's and the angular sides are meant to give the feel (not exact representation) of housing and rooftops. I'm not sure what you mean by cleaning it up. Could you expand on that? I've measured every angle and width and it is symmetrical and even.
Here is a work in progress portfolio where you can see the symbol in use:
