Mediterranean Development Forum

Brief from client

They want an olive branch to represent the Mediterranean region and the color blue to represent the sea.

This logo is for a forum that is organised by students, for students in the Mediterranean region.

This is nice. The MDF type doesn't really fit the symbol, but the as full name text it looks good.

I agree with 2423 about the main font not really matching the rest of the look here. I'd also go so far as to say that while I DO think the leaf wreath looks nice and all, it seems kind of messy too- could it be cleaned up a bit!?!

Overall I'd just pick a new main font and clean up the wreath!?

I do like where this is going and can tell that it has a lot of potential :) I will say however that the wreaths (coming from a very strong Microsoft office background) look like clipart. You don't need all that detailing, and it would just get lost at small sizes anyway so your best bet is to just make it one color, clean up the funky edges so it's more smooth and use a different font choice.

See losttype.com for font choices

The wreath looks like it's a picture that has been traced.

If you really want to make a cool logo, create the wreath yourself from scratch.

Globally this looks like it's been done in a few minutes, without any research or sketching being done before.
